DROP 002 — Blood & Gold, behind the stitch

DROP 002 was meant to be DROP 002 — that is, a follow-up to the first run, with a twist on the crest and an upgrade in fabric. Eight months later, after two trips to a wool mill in Yorkshire, one shouting match with a satin-tape supplier in Lyon, and a single panicked call to a pattern cutter at 3 a.m., it became something else entirely.

The starting point

We started with the navy crewneck — heavy tricot, blood-red taping running the length of each sleeve, and a single decision: the crest had to be on the back, large, and embroidered in antique gold. Not screen-printed. Not patched on. Stitched, by hand, with the kind of thread that doesn't shine in photographs.

Why the crest is small at first

Look at the front and you see a quiet thing — a JV monogram, the size of a thumb, on the chest. We argued about that for weeks. The back is loud; the front whispers. That contrast became the whole drop.

"Quiet swagger. Don't explain the goat. The goat is."

Fifty pieces. Numbered. When they're gone, they're gone. We get the question "will you restock?" once a week, and the answer is the same every time.

DROP 003 lands in autumn. Different crest. Different fabric. Same rule.
