There are six gold threads in the embroidery world. Five of them shine. Ours is the one that doesn't.
We sourced it from a single mill in Lyon. We're not going to tell you which one — they have a queue six months long and we'd like to keep our place.
Why dull is better
Bright gold thread reads as cheap on camera. Antique gold has copper undertones — it photographs warm, holds up under flash, and ages well. The crest on a pullover from DROP 001 looks better today than it did when it shipped.
